ISO9000 series
which is the quality assurance standard of ISO is defined as that the
third party examines the quality management system of a plant and an office
itself, and guarantees whose quality assurance system is working appropriately. It is different from JIS mark indication system which guarantees material and reliability of products themselves but ISO9000 evaluates quality management system itself. In 1970's, western countries aimed to strengthen company competitiveness by establishing reliability and safety of products at the same time. Thereafter, movement occurred aiming commonnize different standards depends on each country, according to this, ISO9000 has established based on the western statement in 1987. Since it is required for companies to aquire registration of ISO9000 in many EC business transactions, Japanese industries has begun to gain this certification. Acquiring the certification of ISO9000 series is recognized to become advantage of corresponding PL suit and preventing trouble. |

ISO14000 series
is the standard related not for products themselves as ISO 9000 is, but
for the process to the environment. It is the indication that evaluates
and inspects effects towards environment, brought by company activity
such as providing material, production, sales and recycle. The industry engineering department established environment JIS/JISQ 14000 in October 1996 as Japan's industry standard is conform to international standard. ISO itself does not have force but it is often employed as the industrial standard or recognized as requirement for government supply. Therefore, companies are practically obligated to certify it. The movement of associated business in regard to environment ISO is livens because of the increased interest towards to environment issue all over the world. ISO14001 is the standard related to the environment management system. It is issued for the companies which are qualified to the standard of environment system and inspection system such as environmental plan, operation, inspection and review related to the environment for companies@activities of production, service, and management. |

ISO9001 has been
adopted broadly among aerospace industries, but at the same time, additional
supplement requirement has demanded to solve problems arose by various
additional requirement issued from each purchaser. SAE AS9000 in USA, AECMAprEN9000-1 in Europe were issued as the standards which was added aerospace requirements to settle this problem Moreover, at ISO/TC20 general meeting in 1997, aerospace quality system standard draft was proposed, and final draft reached agreement at new WG11. Thereafter, IAQG that were joined by most of aircraft manufactures and aircraft engine manufactures in the world, then IAQS9100 was established. IAQS9100 sets form as local standard having same contents and standard number and issued as SAE AS9100 in U.S.A, as AECMA EN9100 in Europe and as Japan aerospace industry standard SJAC9100 in Japan in December 1999. The Society of Japanese Aerospace Companies (SJAC) proposed JIS Standard draft, expecting that SJAC9100 was recognized not only for civilian demands but to be adopted broadly by making it official standard. In August 2000, it has been approved as JIS Q9100: 2000 |
